On October 27-28, 2009 at 9 a.m. (room 97, educational building #1) at a basis of the ERI of Forestry and Park-Gardening of NUBiP of Ukraine the International workshop «Perspectives of exploitation of the geometrical sounding data in forestry» will be held.

On October 6-8, 2009 at NUBiP the representative international seminar «Forest fires and human safety. Fire control at the radionuclide polluted territories with unexploded ordnance and mine fields» was held under the auspices of Council of Europe, OSCE and strategy of UN for catastrophe negotiation was held.

On September 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. (room 68, educational building #3) the scientific-practical conference «Mission of educated women in revival of Ukraine».

The representatives of the fair sex from separated university’s subdivisions, located in different parts of our country, took part in the competition.

On March 3, 2009 since 10⁰⁰ a.m. till 12⁰⁰ a.m (at the vestibule of assembly hall, building #3) the annually competition on applied mastery «Gospodarochka — 2009» was held.

Since 05.02.2009 till 1.03.2009 we announce a social advertising competition «Save». Its aim to find out a talented youth and pay attention to energy resource saving.

to the staff of National Agricultural University
on the occasion of 110^th anniversary

The history of National Agricultural University begins with the date of foundation of the Department of Agriculture within the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute of Imperator Oleksandr II. 110 years passed since!
Nowadays National University has 12 education and research institutes and 11 research institutes, 21 faculties, 3 research stations and 7 research farms. And also powerful Southern Branch «Crimean Agrotechnological University of NAUU», 2 agrotechnical institutes, 8 colleges, 2 technical schools, education and consulting stations. This powerful education-research-innovative complex can train (and the main issues — it is training!) specialists on almost all directions and specialties, fruitfully collaborates with many research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, at the basis of which a lot of departments and branches are functioning.
The scientific and pedagogic staff worthily supports the fame of their predecessors. It counts over 300 Doctors of Sciences, professors, including 51 Academicians and Corresponding-members of NASU and UAAS. The education system of NAU is recognized (and it is confirmed by numerous memorandums of understanding) by many leading world universities, it opens good perspectives for graduates.
And working, and studying here — is a choiceness and a big responsibility.

On September 25-26, 2008 the International scientific and practical conference «Actual questions and innovative development of graded education and extension in agricultural production» devoted to 110-anniversary of National Agricultural University was held.
The conference worked on following directions:

1. Innovative development of agricultural science and education and its peculiarities.
2. Improvement of extension system and extension education development.
3. Perspectives of development of continuing education at higher educational agricultural establishment.

On September 23-24, 2008 at a basis of National Agricultural University the International conference «Quality and safety of food: allocation of responsibilities among economic players and government bodies. Modernization of technical and legal aspects for implementation of WTO and EU standards: history of successes and future difficulties in Ukraine» was held.
Sections of the conference:

1. Codex Alimentarius, ISO standards and national standards.
2. Cooperation among states and private laboratories, national reference-laboratories.
3. Legal aspects, accordance to WTO and EU requirements, implementation of principles of mutual food recognitions.

On June 19-20, 2008 the International scientific and practical conference devoted to 110^th anniversary of National Agricultural University «Modern GIS-technologies and remote sensing methods in agriindustrial and environmental protection complex» was held.
Organizers: National Agricultural University, Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, State Committee of Ukraine for Land Resources, State Service of Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre of Ukraine, Institute of Space researches of the Earth of NASU-NSAU.

1. Use of remotely sensed data and GIS tools for solving problems of effective management of land resources, ecology safety and rational management of natural resources.

On June 17-20, 2008 at a basis of National Agricultural University the International symposium of agrochemist and agroecologist «Agrochemical services for agriculture in market conditions» was held.

On June 10-13, 2008 National Agricultural University took part in the XX International exhibition «AGRO-2008». It is the largest agricultural exhibition in Ukraine (Kyiv, National complex «Expocenter of Ukraine»).
Organizers: Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Ukrainian Exhibition and Information Center and Center for Trade Stimulation.

On June 9-14, 2008 (room 68, building # 3) at a basis of National Agricultural University the International seminar «Education courses in Ukraine according to Bologna process» was carried out.

On June 12, 2008 the meeting among members of scientific council, teachers, students of the university and Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Protection of Consumers, Germany Horst Seehofer and Deputy Minister for Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Valentyna O. Zavalevska took place on the unscheduled meeting of the scientific council.
Rector of NAU Dmytro Melnychuk and Federal Minister of Germany Horst Seehofer reported in the meeting. Horst Seehofer was bestowed a title «Honored Doctor of NAU» with handing over Diploma and gown.
It was decided to continue cooperation among NAU and universities of Germany.

On June 4-8, 2008 at a basis of Education and Research Center of Biology and Ecology of Subtropical Plants and Landscaping of National Agricultural University (Yalta) the report conference of Student Organization of NAU was held for stimulation of development of student self-government at the university and youth attraction to the social activity. The delegates of student self-government from regional educational establishments of NAU took part in the conference.

On May 22-23, 2008 at the basis of National Agricultural University the International scientific-practical conference «Current problems of stable development of rural territories of Ukraine» was held.
Aim of the conference: interchanging of scientific and practical information and summery of results of scientific researches in theoretical, methodological, normative, methodical and legal problems of stable development of rural territories of Ukraine.
Sections:

1. Social-economic and organizational-legal conditions of integrated rural territories development.
2. Agricultural green tourism and its influence on development of rural territories.

On May 22-23, 2008 the International seminar with representatives of GeoSys Company (France) was carried out at National Agricultural University according to the aim and tasks of Agreement on cooperation between National Agricultural University and Higher Educational Establishments of France (AgroParisTech University, Paris and Toulouse University).

On May 21-22, 2008 at a basis of Ukrainian Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products of NAU (Chabany village) the International educational-training seminar «Modern chromatographic methods for analysis of agricultural raw materials, soil, water and food» was held.

On May 21, 2008 at a basis of National Agricultural University the International seminar «Development of the International Master Course «Administrative Management» according to a new requirements of Bologna process» was held. The representatives from the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine, Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences, Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, Scientific and Methodological Center and leading agricultural universities of Ukraine took part in the seminar.

On May 19-21, 2008 the scientific conference «Modern situation and perspectives of seed production development in Ukraine» was carried out under the supervision of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences and National Agricultural University of Ukraine.
The following sections were working:

1. Seed growing, seed control and standardization.
2. Biological basis of plant breeding and sanitation.
3. Technology of growing and postharvest handling of seeds and planting material.
