Admission of foreign citizens for study (2009-2010)

Admission of Foreign Citizens

Training in the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NUBiP of Ukraine) is offered within:
  • International agreements of Ukraine;
  • National programmes;
  • Contracts with individuals and corporations.
Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the higher educational institution an international student should have secondary education certificate and satisfactory health state for habitation in climatic conditions of Ukraine and training in chosen speciality.

Foreign citizens who graduated from the higher educational institutions of foreign countries are entitled to continue the education in Ukraine on the basis of the documents that certify their education level.

To be admitted to postgraduate education programme an international student should have higher education diploma and capability of conducting research.

Documents required for admission
  1. Application form (Annex #1);
  2. Documents about education and appendix with marks;
  3. Document given by a competent state body, that indicates the right of the candidate to continue studying at the educational establishments of that country where he/she has got a secondary education;
  4. Document that indicates getting of higher education with «Bachelor», «Master» degree for candidates who would like to get «Master» degree or start post-graduate studying;
  5. Medical health certificate, certified by official body of health protection of the foreigner’s country and is issued at least for two months before leaving for Ukraine;
  6. Document certifying absence of HIV, in cases when other is not foreseen by international agreements of Ukraine;
  7. insurance policy getting urgent medical aids (except foreigners who have come from the countries which concluded with Ukraine agreement about free first aid);
  8. Passport;
  9. 8 photos (6x4);
  10. Return ticket with open data for foreigners who applying to preliminary course.

The documents in sub-item b-f should be certified in accordance with the legislation of the issuing country, translated into Ukrainian and legalized as established by law, if other is not provided by international agreements of Ukraine.

Those who apply to postgraduate programmes have to submit the list of publications, including the name of publisher and its official conformation of the head of home educational institution.

Students who have no publications are to submit scientific reports (abstracts) in chosen speciality.

Besides above documents to apply to the Doctor of Science programme the following documents should be submitted:

  1. detailed work plan of the doctor’s thesis;
  2. copy of the Candidate of Science (Ph.D.) diploma.

The documents should be in Ukrainian, Russian or English. The documents in sub-item «b», «c», «d», «e» should be certified in accordance with the legislation of the issuing country and legalized as established by law, if other is not provided by international agreements of Ukraine.

The documents should be sent to NUBiP of Ukraine post address. The application deadline is June 30.

Preliminary training course. Learning Language.

International students (except PhD students) who do not speak Ukrainian or other language of instruction of NUBiP of Ukraine are enrolled for one-year preliminary training course. During the preliminary course they study Ukrainian, History of Ukraine, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and some other subjects depending on chosen speciality.

* For such specialties as «Veterinary medicine», «Ecobiotechnology», «Ecology and Environmental protection», «Plant protection», «Management of Foreign Economic Activities», training of foreign students on particular disciplines is performed in English.
For the specialty «Veterinary medicine» the term of study for the Educational-Qualification Level «Bachelor» on the basis of full general education is 5 years.

Study terms:

  • Bachelor training — 4-5 years;
  • Master training — 1,5 years after bachelor program;
  • Candidate of science — 3 years (in the presence of master diploma).

The course starts on September 1.

CONDITIONS OF LIFE

The university town is situated in the picturesque place of the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. Students live in the students’ hostels in single or double rooms. The price of double-room is 150 UAH per month; single- room 600 UAH per month (according to conveniences).

Conditions of life are determined by the contract.
